Samantha Summers Owner/Principle Designer

The bulk of my life has been spent in many realms of design; from 5+ years in TV and Film design and production, graphic design, retail startup design to commercial and residential interior design. I hold a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Humboldt State, a Certificate of Interior Design from the Interior Design program at UCLA and a M.A. of Interior Design from Cal Poly Pomona. I am an allied member of the American Society of Interior Designers and am certified in the state of California by the California Council for Interior Design Certification. Before moving North for the second time, I spent 2 years working for Architectural Digest top 100 Interior Designer Timothy Corrigan in West Hollywood.

In 2013, I moved from Los Angeles to Humboldt County where I bought a prolific but worn Victorian in Eureka and spent 7 years reinventing the 1871 “old lady” from the inside out. I travel much of California to procure items for my my clients and Alteredecor shop. I am a commissioner for the Historical Preservation Committee for the city of Eureka and am active in many organizations within the community.

When not with a client, experimenting with new design ideas or rooting around my garden,  I can usually be found at home with numerous animals, gardens (I also love plants) and two daughters Alyna Rose and Arcata Rainbow.
